Our Resource Vault company, West Point Gold (TSX-V: WPG, OTCQX: WPGCF) continues to deliver for shareholders.
West Point Gold has built substantial momentum at its Gold Chain Project in Arizona. Its recently completed 21,000-metre drill program returned several important results across the property, led by Northeast Tyro, where the Company reported 66.2 metres grading 6.57 g/t gold. Follow-up holes have continued to support the continuity of the high-grade zone at depth, including 62.5 metres grading 3.12 g/t gold and 54.9 metres grading 2.02 g/t gold.
I had a chance to sit down with Derek MacPherson and Robert Johansing, West Point Gold’s CEO and VP of Exploration.
The conversation covers the completed drill program, the work underway to compile a Maiden Resource Estimate expected later this year, and the next planned phase of drilling. West Point Gold expects to begin its next campaign in mid-September, with a likely program of approximately 30,000 metres. The plan is to drill deeper at Northeast Tyro while continuing to test additional targets across the broader Gold Chain property, including Tyro Main, Black Dike, Sheep Trail, and the Frisco Graben.
The Maiden Resource will give investors the first formal view of the scale of the Tyro Main and Northeast Tyro zones. The next drill campaign is intended to build on that foundation by testing depth extensions and new discovery opportunities across a much larger land package.
